How the system works

The difference is
between the boards.

Two components work together at the deck surface. See the connection before choosing your color.

01

A cellular PVC deck surface

Choose the color that complements your home, with a low-maintenance surface made for outdoor living.

02

A seal between the boards

The Dexerdry TPE seal fits between compatible board grooves as the decking is installed.

03

A planned path for rain

With the required pitch, flashing, and installation details, the assembly directs rain toward the deck edge.

Site conditions matter. Follow current installation instructions. Open sides can still admit wind-driven rain; this is not a fully enclosed, weatherproof room.

Can I use AmeriDex on an existing deck?

Yes, on a qualifying re-deck where the old boards are removed. Your builder must confirm framing condition, spacing, pitch, flashing, fastening, and the current installation requirements. It cannot be added beneath boards that stay in place.

Does it keep all rain out of the space below?

The correctly installed board-and-seal assembly is designed to direct rain off the deck surface. Wind-driven rain can enter open sides, and perimeter details matter. It is not a fully enclosed, weatherproof room.

How is it different from under-deck drainage?

AmeriDex integrates the drainage function at the deck surface. Other systems use a separate above-joist layer beneath the boards or collect water below the joists. Compare the three approaches to match the system to your project.

Where should I start?

Request physical color samples, sketch your deck dimensions, and ask for a project quote. Your written quote should confirm boards, seals, fasteners, accessories, delivery, and any installation costs.
